Please note that your view may differ based upon your role's permissions. Typically, transferring books to surplus is a district coordinator only function. If you do not see the option in your view, please check with your district coordinator as they can complete the transfer.
By default, books in surplus will appear for all other districts/schools in the system as available to claim. However, any claim would need to be approved by your district coordinator.
Step 1
Click on the menu and select "Inventory" > "Titles"

Using the left filtering options, search for the textbook
Step 3
Click on the title of the book you which to transfer some quantity to surplus
Step 4
Click on the "+ Action" button
Step 5
Select "Surplus Transfer" and click the "Next" button
Step 6
You can select multiple titles if you want to move quantities of multiple titles to surplus. You can use the filtering option again to find the textbook
Step 7
Once you have selected all of the textbooks, click the "Next" button at the bottom of the page

Select the quantity that you want to move to surplus. Please note that this page shows many textbooks are currently available (active) to transfer to surplus. You cannot transfer more than you currently have in active status.
The green arrow shows that you are trying to transfer more than the 3 books currently in active.
The blue arrows show that you currently have 0 books in active and therefore the quantity field is greyed out. This means you cannot transfer any of these books to surplus.
The purple arrows show that you are transferring 6 of the available 12 books to surplus.
Step 9
Once you have completed the quantities, click the "Next" button to advance
Step 10
Review the information on the summary page and once ready, click the "Submit" button
Step 11
You will see a confirmation page that shows you the transfer was successful. At this point, your inventory counts should be updated and you can click "Done" to return to the main page.
